Hi, my mom is now taking metformin 500 mg in the morning and then drinks a glass of lactose free milk and goes back to sleep.(Too lazy to eat in the morning)  Then when she wakes up around 11 am, She feels nervous and her sight is hazy. Is she experiencing a drop in blood sugar? Could she take metformin and just have a glass of milk and sleep? Or does she have to eat?
